1. Carbon(C) in stainless steel with "0". A "0" indicates that the carbon content is less than equal to 0.09% ; "00" indicates the carbon content 0.03% or less. Increased carbon content reduces the corrosion resistance of stainless steel, but can increase the hardness of steel.
